Alan Loughnane

Breaking news.

German prosecutors say they’ve detained a Tunisian man who they believe may have been involved in last week’s truck attack on a Christmas market in Berlin.

Police raided the home and workplace of the man, whose number was stored on the phone of the attacker Anis Amri, in Berlin.

Officials have until Thursday to decide whether they have sufficient evidence to seek a formal arrest warrant and further charges.

More to follow.
