New information has surfaced.

The reason a Germanwings plane crashed into mountains in the south of France this week is still unclear, but reports suggest one of the pilots was out of position during the accident.

According to The New York Times, an investigator says there’s evidence that one pilot left the cockpit and was locked out just before the plane went down.

The investigator says analysis of one of the plane’s cockpit voice recorders suggests the man was trying to smash the door down to get back in.
