Gerry Adams’ sly dig at his political detractors is the very definition of cheeky

Paul Moore

That didn’t take long.

Gerry Adams may not have topped the poll in Louth but the leader of Sinn Féin still has a cause to celebrate after he was elected on the sixth count in his constituency. Adams crossed the threshold with 11,278 votes but he was pipped to the top spot by Fianna Fáil’s Declan Breathnach.

Like any political campaign, pressures and anxiety can run high with detractors frequently taking potshots at all politicians, regardless of their party, but we’re certain that Adams doesn’t give a jot, especially after seeing his latest tweet.

He loves dropping in those cúpla focal, doesn’t he?
