All donations will go directly to the victim’s family.

Last week, a woman in her 30s was killed in a serious road traffic collision on the M50 Northbound at Junction 5 in Dublin.

Following the incident, a number of graphic images and videos were shared on social media and messaging platforms showing scenes from the crash site.

Gardaí on Thursday urged the public “not to share or circulate the images out of respect to the family of the deceased and those involved in the collision.”

On Saturday, a GoFundMe page has been set up as a Jackie Griffin Memorial Fundraiser, with a short message on the fundraiser page reading as follows:

“Due to the untimely and extremely sad loss of beautiful loved one and friend Jackie who touched the hearts of so many people this fundraiser has been set up to show a bit of public support for her family and friends at this very difficult time. All donations will go directly to Jackie’s family.”

The page is hoping to raise €5,000 for the family, and at the time of writing, people have donated over €2,000 to the campaign.

If you wish to contribute, you can hear directly to the fundraising page right here.
