An Irishman has been missing in Austria since the early hours of Friday morning.

Ross Hanlon from Athboy, Meath went missing in Vienna at around 2am on Friday.

He travelled to Vienna with a group of college friends for a city break and it’s understood he became separated from the group during a night out socialising, and they’ve been unable to contact him since.

He was last seen outside Flex nightclub in the Augartenbrücke area of Vienna at 2am on Friday morning.

The family have appealed on social media for the public’s assistance in finding him.

Hanlon’s friends and family have also since set up a Gofundme profile for Ross with a goal of reaching €2,000 to bring home their friend and brother.

Since sharing the link on Conor McGregor’s Facebook page (of whom Ross is an enormous fan) the page has received a huge amount of support.

At time of writing, they’ve raised €11,780, but Ross has not yet been found.

For those of you who’d like to contribute towards the end goal, or even simply share the link – you can do so here.

Ross is described as being 5’9″ and of medium build.

The Department of Foreign Affairs are aware of the situation and are providing consular assistance.
