A big boost for customers.

Irish mobile operator GoMo is increasing its EU data roaming allowances for those travelling this summer.

What’s more, the move comes at no extra cost to customers, who can now avail of 13GB of data when roaming in European Union countries, compared to the previous 10GB available.

Data released by GoMo reveals a 400% increase in data roaming usage when compared to 2021, offering a clear reflection of an overall societal return to travel following numerous pandemic-related shutdowns.

Having first launched in October of 2019, GoMo now has over 300,000 people using its service. Currently, it is the only bill plan where customers can acquire a locked-in price for life of €14.99 per month.

“Post-Covid, GoMo customers are ready to travel and explore again,” said Kealan Donoghue, Director of Mobile at GoMo.

“We have seen a 400% increase in customer roaming versus summer 2021 and we know that one of the best parts of travelling is making everyone jealous of your trip, by posting great photos, videos and calling friends from sunny destinations and so, we have increased our 4G data EU roaming allowance for all customers up to 13GB.

“GoMo customers have the reassurance that they will remain connected as they travel, all GoMo customers will have 13GB of 4G EU roaming data.”
