Today FM listeners voted for their favourite Irish tracks.

Kingfishr make the top 10 as radio listeners vote for the greatest ever Irish song.

Today FM received over 80,000 votes after asking their listeners to have their say and vote for the 100 Greatest Irish songs.

Kingfishr, Sinéad O'Connor and the Pogues all featured in the top 10, but it was Zombie by The Cranberries that took the top spot.

Nothing Compares 2 U by the late Sinéad O’Connor took the silver position and A Rainy Night in Soho by The Pogues was ranked third.

Dreams by The Cranberries and Hozier’s Take Me to Church rounded out the top five, while Crazy World by Aslan, Brewing Up a Storm by The Stunning, and last year’s most listened-to song in the country, Killeagh by Kingfishr, followed.

Christmas classic Fairytale of New York by The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl and U2's With or Without You completed the top 10.

Friday's edition of Ray Foley show on Today FM was live from Whelan’s in Dublin, a venue that has hosted some amazing musical moments.

The show counted down the top hits and featured performances from Aslan, Bell X1, Mundy, Sharon Shannon and more.

The show closed with Zombie, the top-voted track as The Coronas and Róisín O paid tribute to the late Dolores O’Riordan.
