Sandra Redknapp is believed to have suffered a serious injury to her foot in a freak accident on Wednesday.

Sandra Redknapp, the wife of Harry Redknapp, was hospitalised on Wednesday after she was dragged along a road by Redknapp’s Range Rover during a freak accident in Bournemouth.

According to The Sun, Sandra Redknapp suffered a serious injury to her foot when her coat got trapped in the door and her foot became stuck in the footwell of the Range Rover after Harry had dropped her off at the shops

Thinking his wife has exited the car, Redknapp drove away but soon slammed on the brakes and stopped the car after hearing the screams of his wife shortly afterwards.

One witness told The Sun that “there was a lot of blood on the tarmac and Harry was beside himself”.

South Western Ambulance said of the incident: “We were called at 11.49am to Poole Road, in Bournemouth.

“There was one female casualty in her 60s. She had a foot injury and has been taken into hospital.”

Sandra Redknapp is believed to have had surgery on her injured foot in hospital on Wednesday night and a source close to the family told the Sun that “Sandra did have an accident and was taken to hospital where she had an op”.

“It’s a long story, but she should be OK.”
