Large parts of the country have been hit with heavy rainfall this morning and it looks likely to continue right into the evening.
As you may have noticed yourselves, it has been torrential in parts and will spread nationwide during the day. Met Eireann has said there will be the risk of localised flooding with some very heavy downpours, with 30mm rainfall expected.
They have also issued a gale warning, especially along the south and east coasts.
Officially we are still in Autumn, but it really feels like winter is here.
