Here’s how every constituency voted.

Ireland has voted to repeal the Eight Amendment after 66.4% of the country voted Yes.

During the press conference that announced the result, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said that “I said in recent days that this was a once in a generation vote. Today I believe we have voted for the next generation. To those who voted No I know today is not welcome … I would like to reassure you that Ireland will still be the same country today as it was before, just a little more tolerant, open and respectful.”

Dublin Bay South had the highest percentage of yes votes with a figure of 78.5%. Dun Laoghaire and Dublin Fingal were also in the top 3.

In fact, nine of the top 10 constituencies that voted yes were all in the Dublin area.
