Here’s how this week’s weather is shaping up

Given that it’s October in Ireland, really only a few days from winter, we can’t actually expect the weather to do us many favours.

With that in mind, Met Éireann’s forecast for the next week actually isn’t that upsetting. Both Monday and Tuesday have been described as mainly dry – with ‘sunny intervals’ developing on Monday. Temperatures for the first two days of the week should range from 12 to 15 degrees.

Things get a little bit wetter as the week wears on, and “showers will tend to be more frequent”. Met Éireann describes Wednesday and Thursday as much cooler days, reaching highs of 11 or 12 degrees.

There you have it, we’ve got maybe one more week of manageable weather before it’s time to break the old winter coat out of the wardrobe and head to Penney’s for some cheap gloves.
