A nice new year’s bonus…

Six Irish people are waking up €40,000 richer after splitting last night’s €234,530 for matching five numbers in the draw. All players fell just one ball short of taking home the €2.7million jackpot.

The National Lottery is urging all its players to check their tickets to see if they have won this nice post-Christmas prize. However, four of the six tickets were sold in Monaghan, Westmeath, Tipperary and Cork. The remaining two were purchased online.

The winning numbers from last night’s draw (Saturday 29th December) were: 7, 13, 18, 26, 27, 28 and bonus number was 9. There was no winner of the jackpot, which rolls to an estimates €3 million for Wednesday’s draw (2 January).

The National Lottery revealed the shops where last night’s winners were bought, so if you do the shopping in any of these places, make sure to check your ticket.

  • Londis, Dublin Road, Castleblaney. Co. Monaghan
  • Centra, M6 Service Centre, Tullamore Road, Kilbeggan. Co. Westmeath
  • Centra Carrig Road Service Station. Parkmore, Roscrea. Co. Tipperary.
