Here’s what the weather looks like this weekend

Weather

It’s looking good.

After a strangely glorious week on the weather front, where parts of Ireland were as warm as Spain, hopes are high that the wonderful conditions will continue into the weekend.

On that note, Friday morning is set to be cold with patches of frost inland. However, that’s set to clear and leave a bright and dry day. If you’re living in the south and east of Ireland, you’re in luck because the sunshine is set to be most prominent in those areas.

Elsewhere, Friday afternoon will be generally cloudy with a few spots of drizzle in the northwest.

As for the evening, it’s set to remain dry in most areas. However, northern and western parts of the country can expect overcast conditions with patchy drizzle, though amounts will be small.

Saturday is set to be cloudy throughout but dry too, apart from the odd spot of drizzle or light rain – mainly in the west. Yet again, the southern and eastern counties are set to get the majority of the sunshine with highest temperatures reaching 14 degrees.

Saturday night will be dry, but the mercury is set to slightly drop with ground frost developing in areas.

As for Sunday, the morning will be bright and dry with plenty of sunny spells. The rain is expected to hold off with a cool day forecast.

Given what we experienced for most of March, we’ll take it.
