Hillary Clinton falls down the stairs on her way to filming Graham Norton

Nothing’s going right for Hillary Clinton these days, is it?

Almost a year after losing the American presidential election to Donald Trump, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has suffered another misfortune — falling down the stairs while doing a press tour in Great Britain. Luckily her injuries were not too serious, sustaining only a broken toe.

The injury caused her to miss an interview with Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, and also caused her to be several hours late for filming with Graham Norton for his BBC One show.

Explaining how it happened, Clinton said: “I was running down the stairs in heels with a cup of coffee in hand, I was talking over my shoulder and my heel caught and I fell backwards.” She appeared on Graham’s couch wearing a large moonboot to protect her injured foot.

“I tried to get up and it really hurt,” she said. I’ve broken my toe. I’ve received excellent care from your excellent health service.”

Clinton, 69, is scheduled to be a guest of The Graham Norton Show on Friday October 20. She is promoting her book What Happened? about where it all went wrong in the 2016 election.
