Large fire damages secondary school in Louth

Thankfully, no one was hurt.

A fire has damaged St Louis’s Secondary School in Dundalk, Co Louth.

The fire broke out in the early hours of this morning as three fire engines and other emergency crew from the local fire brigade were called to the scene.

The school has released the following statement via their Facebook page.

“We would like to say a huge thank you to the fire departments of Dundalk and Ardee under Officer Paul Kelly for their wonderful work in the early hours to ensure that there was minimal damage to our beautiful school. They managed to contain the fire. Parents we will keep you updated via text. The main building was not damaged by the fire and we are thankful that no one was hurt.  We will be in touch soon. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
