The supermarket chain is keen to fill all positions as it prepares for the busy Christmas period.

Aldi Ireland has begun a recruitment drive to fill 450 vacancies across the retail chain’s 153-store network.

The supermarket giant is looking to employ store assistants, with 330 permanent positions and 120 fixed-term contract positions available, and says it is keen to fill all spots as soon as possible.

This is as it continues to open new stores and sees an increase in customer demand in the run-up to Christmas.

The vacancies include both roles at new stores and filling existing vacancies, with jobs available across the country.

There are 112 open vacancies in Dublin, 93 in Cork, 40 in Galway, 28 in Kildare, 24 in Mayo, 17 in Wexford, 15 in Wicklow and 14 in Meath, in addition to vacancies in all other counties.

In a statement, Aldi said the new recruits will join the supermarket chain’s 4,650-strong team in Ireland and will benefit from a competitive package.

This includes market leading pay, access to dedicated employee benefits and wellbeing supports, in addition to career progression opportunities.

“We are always looking for talented, hard-working and committed people to join the Aldi family, as we continue to grow and develop the business in Ireland,” Aldi Ireland Group Managing Director Niall O’Connor said.

“We’re keen to fill these 450 positions quickly as our stores are busier than ever and as we approach the Christmas period.

“We look forward to welcoming new people to our team who will join a company committed to its customers and our value promise which has never been more relevant or important than in these challenging economic times.”
