It looks like we’re going to be hit by the tail end of Hurricane Gonzalo, which has been making its way towards Ireland over the weekend.
Hurricane Gonzalo has made its way from Bermuda across the Atlantic and is now heading on a path just north of Ireland.

Thankfully, the storm has died down since making its way across the ocean and Ireland won’t feel the same battering effects that hit Bermuda, but wind speeds of 80-km/h to 110-km/h are still expected to hit later today.
Earlier this morning, Met Éireann issued a National yellow weather warning across the country as strong winds and heavy rain are expected to hit western counties from 6pm tonight and southeastern counties from 9pm.
Judging by this satellite image tweeted by BBC journalist Barra Best, Hurricane Gonzalo will move just north of Ireland before hitting Scotland later tonight…
