
Investigation launched after Bus Éireann bus gets stuck under bridge after taking wrong turn in Cork
The bus that had become stuck was removed in the early hours of this morning.
An investigation has been launched by Bus Éireann after a double decker bus got stuck under a bridge after accidentally taking a wrong turn on Friday night.
The bus, which was carrying passengers on the 220 Ovens to Carrigaline route, became stuck under a bridge after taking a turn on Church Road towards Douglas by mistake.
The bus became stuck under the bridge, with a height of 3.4 metres, at approximately 11.15pm on Friday night.

Gardaí attended the scene and no injuries were reported.
Passengers were evacuated safely from the bus and a substitute bus took them onwards to Carrigaline.
The bus that had become stuck under the bridge was removed safely in the early hours of Saturday morning, within 90 minutes of the incident and with only minor damage.
