A powerful video with a powerful message.
A new advert has been released as part of the #CallItOut campaign, which aims to highlight and address the harm caused by homophobia, biphobia and transphobia in Ireland.
The video, which was directed and written by Kate Dolan shows a number of members of the LGBTQ+ community in every day situations, many of which make them feel uncomfortable and unsafe.
Starring a number of LGBTQ+ actors, the video is certainly a powerful one, and one that aims to try and raise awareness of prejudice in Ireland.
Take a look:
New work for the #CALLITOUT campaign, I wrote and directed this ad calling for people to call out homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia in Ireland. Such a joy to make particularly working with a bunch of really talented LGBTQ actors. 💕🏳️🌈 pic.twitter.com/SgIvVUFFPX

The bio of the campaign’s official website states that: “LGBT+ people across Ireland deserve to live happy lives free from prejudice. For that to happen, we must all step up to help bring homophobia, biphobia and transphobia to an end.”
The campaign also has a three step programme for what one should do if they encounter homophobia, biphobia or transphobia in Ireland; call it out, support and report.
