The National Lottery has announced a series of Euromillions "Ireland Only Raffle", that is guaranteed to make four brand new millionaires across August.
The four draws are set to take place each Friday in August.
“Usually, every EuroMillions draw in Ireland produces ten winners of the €5,000 raffle prize but over the next four Friday draws we have created something extra special," a spokesperson for the National Lottery said.
"In addition to the normal raffle prize on each draw, four winners across all these four draws will win the special €1 million prize. This means that we are going to make at least four people brand new millionaires.”
“Not only will the special promotion see the creation of four instant millionaires in Ireland over the four weeks, but all EuroMillions players in Ireland will also be in with a chance of becoming
Ireland’s second EuroMillions jackpot winner of 2022.”
Everyone in Ireland who buys a ticket for any Friday Euromillions draw between Friday, 5 August and Friday, 26 August will automatically be entered into the Ireland Only Raffle for that week's corresponding draw. Each ticket will have a unique code, which will act as the player's raffle number.
Ten raffle codes will be generated with each of the winners receiving €5,000. One lucky winner, however, will have an additional €1,000,000 added to their prize in the four draws across the month.
Prize winners are being advised to sign the back of their tickets and check the
National Lottery website for details of their nearest An Post Prize Claim Centres.
Prizes of up to €14,999 can be claimed at these centres.
Alternatively, winners can contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or send an email to claims@lottery.ie. For players who play online, winners will receive details of the process for claiming their prizes.
