Ireland’s Best Public Building, Best Local Sports Club and other honours were announced last night

Congratulations to all!

Donabate Community Centre took home the Local Sports Club of the Year last night as part of a ceremony honouring those who give the most to serve local Irish communities, hosted by Miriam O’Callaghan.

Fernhill House in Clonakilty, a family-run wedding hotel in Co. Cork was named Best Business Working With The Community.

Longford grabbed the bragging rights as home of Ireland’s Best Public Building in 2015 – St. Mel’s Cathedral (pictured in our feature image).

The Dublin-based Liberties Fest won Local Festival/Event Of The Year for their community arts festival which took place back in July.

Finally, the town of Drogheda were rewarded for their ingenuity, scooping up the Best Tourism Initiative reward.
