Breakfast is the most important meal of the day…

Roll out of bed in the morning and following your shower (optional but highly recommended), a spot of breakfast is next on the agenda.

Well, plenty of you seem to be enjoying porridge and the like for breakfast according to the Love Irish Food Favourites Survey.

Waterford oat millers Flahavan’s have beaten off stern competition from Cadbury’s and Tayto to be voted Ireland’s Favourite Food Brand in the survey.

The survey was conducted on Facebook and showed that Flahavan’s was voted Ireland’s favourite food brand with Cadbury’s placing second, Tayto in third, McCambridge Bread in fourth and the top five was rounded out by Ballymaloe Foods.

Unsurprisingly, the most missed food by Irish living abroad is tea, quickly followed by bread and butter.

So what if you’ve a spare afternoon day, where is the best place to go to get some good food?

Well it seems the Rebel County is the place to go with Cork voted the country’s favourite place to get food.
