Ireland’s wealthiest musicians have been revealed

U2 are collectively worth €635 million according to the new Sunday Times Music Millionaires Top 50 list.

The list is an index of the richest musical performers in Ireland and the UK. The Dublin band finished third overall, behind Paul McCartney and his wife Nancy Shevell in first place, and composer Andrew Lloyd Webber in second.

Other notable Irish names include Michael Flatley, Lord of the Dance, who finished ninth with a treasure trove of £198 million.

Enya is Ireland’s best paid female performer, with a whopping €115 million to her name, placing her 28th overall.

Mullingar man Niall Horan features on the under-30s list alongside his One Direction bandmates. They’ve earned €40 million over the course of their relatively short career.
