Irish broadcaster Maïa Dunphy has shared a statement on Twitter revealing that she has split from husband Johnny Vegas.
In a joint statement on Twitter, the pair wrote: “It is with a heavy heart that we want to let you know that we separated some time last year.”
“As we think is obvious, we continue to fully support each other; there is no acrimony, no story and no one else involved.”
Dunphy and Vegas went on to “ask people to be mindful that there are two children involved, and their welfare is [our] main concern now.”

Dunphy, who has present several programmes on RTÉ, had been married to the comedian Vegas since 2011.
Vegas did not publish the same statement himself, but he did retweeted Dunphy’s tweet.
