Or at least a Celtic Tabby Cat.
118,389 cars have been licensed in the Republic of Ireland between January and October, according to the Central Statistics Office figures released today.
This compares very favourably to last year’s figures. In the same period across 2014, only 89,976 cars were licensed. This is a pretty sizeable increase.
Volkswagen was October’s most popular automobile, making up 12% of all car sales.
But it’s not just cars that people want more of. Truck sales have also increased from 14,861 last year to 21,077 this year – an increase of almost a third.
So if it’s taking you 30% longer to make it into work these days, now you know why.
