The full list of Irish ministers after the big Government reshuffle
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss?
Well, it's finally happened. The great Irish Government reshuffle has occurred, the 'rotating Taoiseach' business has come back upon us, and Leo Varadkar is YOUR new leader of the nation.
The much-hyped Cabinet shake-up has taken place and to be honest, it's all looking quite familiar at the top table of Irish Government. Seriously, it's almost entirely the same.
Nonetheless, you may well want a list of just who is Minister for what as of 18 December, 2022, so let's look at that, shall we?
Taoiseach: Leo Varadkar
Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defence: Micheál Martin
Minister for the Environment, Climate, Communications and Transport: Eamon Ryan
Minister for Finance: Michael McGrath
Minister for Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform: Paschal Donohoe
Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment: Simon Coveney
Minister for Education: Norma Foley
Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media: Catherine Martin
Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage: Darragh O'Brien
Minster for Social Protection, Rural and Community Development: Heather Humphreys
Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine: Charlie McConalogue
Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth: Roderic O'Gorman
Minister for Health: Stephen Donnelly
Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science and Minister for Justice: Simon Harris [Helen McEntee will resume the Minister for Justice role after her maternity leave]
Minister for Land Use and BioDiversity: Pippa Hackett
Minister for International and Road Transport and Logistics: Jack Chambers
Attorney General: Rossa Fanning
Chief Whip: Hildergarde Naughton
Reacting to the can-we-really-call-it-a-reshuffle, Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald cut an unimpressed figure, noting that the latest Cabinet "fits neatly into the pattern for 100 years a tired government that appoints again and again to excuses and alibis".
