Gardaí were called to deal with an incident.
Irish Rail trains bound for Heuston Station and Grand Canal Dock were terminated due to “passenger trouble” on Monday morning.
Irish Rail issued a statement on Twitter to reveal that the 06:35 Heuston Newbridge train would be terminated at Hazelhatch station in Kildare and that the 07:19 Newbridge Grand Canal Dock train would commence at Hazelhatch station.
Due to passenger trouble the 06:35 Heuston Newbridge will terminate at Hazelhatch. 07:19 Newbridge Grand Canal Dock will start from Hazelhatch. Newbridge customers will be accommodated on 6:47 Portlaoise Heuston which will connect at Hazelhatch

The reason given for the re-routing of the trains was “passenger trouble”, with Irish Rail later clarifying that Gardaí had to be called due to “anti-social behaviour”.

Irish Rail said that Newbridge customers would be accommodated on the 6:47 Portlaoise Heuston train, which was to connect at Hazelhatch station.
