ISIS leader reportedly killed in U.S. raid in Syria

President Trump sent an enigmatic tweet that many believe is in relation to the incident.

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS, is to have been killed in U.S. raid in Syria.

His death has not yet been confirmed, as forensic testing is currently underway at the site of the raid, but sources have told NBC News that al-Baghdadi is believed to be among those killed.

It is believed that the White House will make a major statement today (Sunday 27 October) in relation to the incident, while President Trump tweeted what many believe is related to the raid.

The mission to find and attack al-Baghdadi, who is the world’s most-wanted terrorist, is reported to have included helicopters, jets, and U.S. drones flying over the north-west region of Syria, with the U.S. firing from the air and then landing and gathering intelligence

Several others were also believed to have been killed with al-Baghdadi, and there were no reports of any U.S. casualties.
