ITV have cancelled The Jeremy Kyle Show

The Jeremy Kyle show will not return to ITV.

Production of The Jeremy Kyle show has been ended, ITV has confirmed.

The cancellation of the show comes after the death of Steve Dymond, a guest on the show, following an appearance in which he failed a lie detector test.

The episode in which he appeared had been to due to air this Monday but was pulled at the last minute.

In a statement, ITV CEO Carolyn McCall, said: “Given the gravity of recent events we have decided to end production of The Jeremy Kyle Show.

“The Jeremy Kyle Show has had a loyal audience and has been made by a dedicated production team for 14 years, but now is the right time for the show to end.

“Everyone at ITV’s thoughts and sympathies are with the family and friend of Steve Dymond.”
