It is the second time the pop star has been the victim of an attempted mugging in recent months.
Edward Grimes, one-half of the iconic pop duo Jedward, has said he was left “really shaken” after being mugged in London.
Taking to Jedward’s Instagram, Edward explained that his phone was stolen by “two criminal thieves” in a shop in the UK capital.
He also claimed the incident was connected to a “phone stealing ring” in London.
“Hi, it’s Edward. Someone has stolen my phone so if anyone’s trying to get in contact with me, don’t be worried as I’m just really shaken right now,” he wrote.
“My whole life is on there. I’m just really thankful to have John now but I won’t be able to be contacted.”
In a follow-up post, he added: “The shop where I was robbed have the two criminal thieves on camera hopefully we can get them arrested and justice will be served and we’ll crack down this phone stealing ring in London.
“My heart dropped! Thanks for your kind messages.”
This is the second time Edward has been a victim of an attempted mugging in recent months.
In October 2023, he wrote on Twitter: “Be careful everyone. Two masked guys tried to mug me on bikes as I was talking on the phone!
“Obviously shaken but was not expecting it! Seems like it’s happening all over London.
“Felt my wrist and arm being grabbed from behind, it all happened so fast and didn’t have John next to me!
“Just would hate this to happen to anyone else and being made feel vulnerable.”
