Tragic news.

A 17-year-old boy has died after falling from a cliff in Kerry.

Gardaí and emergency services received reports of a male youth entering the sea after a fall in the Bull Head area of Lispole, Kerry, on Sunday afternoon (3 January).

Following a search and rescue operation by Gardaí assisted by members of the Coast Guard, RNLI and Dingle Search and Rescue, the body of the male youth was recovered.

He was later pronounced dead and has since been removed to the morgue at Kerry University Hospital.

Investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí have said they are treating the boy’s death as a tragic accident at this time.
