The song comes after member Mo Chara was charged with a terrorism offence earlier this week.
Kneecap have released a new track following member Mo Chara’s terrorism charge.
The brand new song THE RECAP featuring Mozey dropped this afternoon via the group’s Whatsapp channel.
The song begins with the sound of a news channel breaking that Kneecap would be investigated by counter terrorism police.
Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch is mentioned in the song with lyrics like: “Get me Kemi’s money and give her our thanks.”
They also say in the song that the politicians ‘career is going to rot’.
The song ends with a message to the Conservative Party leader, signing off with one message: “Free Palestine.”
They announced the song on social media this morning, tagging Kemi Badenoch in the announcement.
“@KemiBadenoch you might wanna sit down for this one…if you’ve any seats left,” read the announcement.
Earlier this week, member of the Belfast rap trio, Mo Chara, whose real name is Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, was charged with a terrorism offence for allegedly displaying a flag in support of Hezbollah.
The group released a statement on Thursday saying they “deny this ‘offence’ and will vehemently defend” themselves.
“This is political policing. This is a carnival of distraction. We are not the story. Genocide is. As they profit from genocide, they use an ‘anti-terror law’ against us for displaying a flag thrown on stage,” read the statement.
They added: “Instead of defending innocent people, or the principles of international law they claim to uphold, the powerful in Britain have abetted slaughter and famine in Gaza, just as they did in Ireland for centuries. Then, like now, they claim justification.”
“We will fight you in your court. We will win. Free Palestine,” concluded the statement.

Tickets for the gig sold out in 90 seconds, with 2,000 people left on a waiting list.
The rap trio will play a headline show to 15,000 people at Wide Awake in Brockwell Park, London tonight.
