Kym Owens has reportedly been sent home from hospital to recover from her attack in Maynooth.

The college student was returning to her digs after a weekend at home in Monaghan last November when she suffered severe injuries and was found at the side of the road.

Gardaí have still not found a suspect or a cause for the injuries but it’s believed that she was attacked.

Kym was taken to hospital on the day and was later placed in an induced coma while being treated for injuries that included broken eye sockets, a broken nose and a broken jaw.

It’s now believed that Kym has been released from hospital to recover with her family at home. The Irish Independent reports that she returned home earlier this month.

Gardaí are still continuing with their investigation and have interviewed more than 300 people since the attack took place.
