The iconic TV presenter and interviewer has passed away.
American talk show host Larry King has died at the age of 87.
King passed away at a hospital in Los Angeles in the early hours of Saturday morning.
He had been hospitalised with Covid-19 a number of weeks ago, though his cause of death was not specified.
He also survived a heart attack in 1987 and a near-fatal stroke in 2019, that had left him in a coma for weeks.
He worked in the TV industry for over 63 years.
Ora Meida announced the news on King’s own Twitter page, in a statement which reads: “Whether he was interviewing the US president, foreign leader, celebrity, scandal-ridden personage or an everyman, Larry liked to ask short, direct, and uncomplicated questions.
“Ora Media sends our condolences to his surviving children Larry Jr, Chance, Cannon and the entire King family.”
