An investigation has been launched into an incident that occurred following a football match that took place in Phibsborough on Saturday evening.
It is reported that an altercation occurred between a “large group of people” at approximately 5pm.
Members of the Garda Public Order Unit attended the scene.
A man, aged in his 40s, sustained head injuries and has been taken to the Mater Hospital. Gardaí said that the extent of his injuries are not known at this time.
Gardaí have obtained CCTV footage and are following a definite line of enquiry.

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
