At least 200 killed in bomb and gun attack in Egyptian mosque

Militants in four vehicles opened fire on the worshippers.

At least 200 people have been killed in a bomb and gun attack in a mosque in Egypt today.

Egyptian state news agency MENA has reported that 200 people were killed and over 100 people injured in the attack on the al-Rawdah mosque in Bir al-Abed.

The Guardian reports that militants in four vehicles approached the mosque as prayers were finishing.

They then opened fire at worshippers.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has called an emergency meeting in light of the attack.
