Leo Varadkar will be taking questions from the public tonight… while standing on a farm

‘Farm Friday with Leo’ could be the event of the year.

After causing a little bit of controversy following his remarks about the Irish media and expressing admiration for Trump’s views towards the press this week, Leo Varadkar has apologised and been very open about the issue.

On that note, it’s clear that the Taoiseach isn’t hiding from anyone because he’s more than happy to answer any questions that the public may have.

Granted, we’re more accustomed to seeing the Fine Gael leader answering questions at Dáil Éireann or in a press conference, but it appears that Varadkar is willing to get his hands dirty.

OK, we’re not sure if he’s going to milk any cows, hop on a Massy Ferguson, or clean out a slurry pit, but we’d happily pay good money to see any of the following because he’s doing a live Q&A from a farm on Friday evening.

The Taoiseach will be on a farm in Cork and he’s prepared to take any questions on the issues that concern the Irish public in ‘Farm Friday with Leo’.

As you can see below, the weather is expected to be one of the topics discussed but if you’re looking for a few more more hard-hitting subjects to be mentioned, you can put your questions to the Taoiseach through the Farmers Journal.

Today is the first edition of ‘Farm Friday with Leo’ and all the fun kicks-off at 8.30pm.

We reckon that it could be a bigger event than the World Cup quarter-finals, Love Island and the Derry Girls special of The Crystal Maze.

We’re intrigued.
