Man arrested after attacking vehicles stopped in traffic in Donegal

A man in his 30s was arrested after attacking a number of vehicles stopped in traffic in Letterkenny on Tuesday evening.

According to Highland Radio, the man attacked a number of vehicles stopped in traffic in the Oldtown area of Letterkenny at approximately 7.30pm.

The man is believed to have been armed with some form of weapon and while damage was caused to a number of vehicles, nobody was injured.

In a statement issued to JOE on Wednesday, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said:

“Gardaí attended an incident of criminal damage in Letterkenny, yesterday, 6 August.

“A male in his thirties has been arrested and investigations are ongoing.”
