Man dies in motorcycle collision in Limerick

Another man has been taken to hospital in connection with the incident.

Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which took place on the N69 Limerick between Glinn and Tarbert on Sunday 30 December.

The crash occurred at approximately 12.40pm.

A male motorcyclist in his 50s collided with a car and another motorcyclist, a man in his 20s.

The man in his 50s was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene, while the second man was taken to Limerick University Hospital.

His injuries have been described as not life-threatening, according to Gardaí.

No injuries were sustained by any occupant(s) of the car involved in the collision.

The road remains closed to facilitate a Garda technical examination.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, particularly anyone with access to dash-cam footage, to contact them in Newcastlewest on 069 296 50.
