Just about everybody in the country is excited to watch the boys in green face Sweden at 5pm this evening – and woe betide you if you’re stuck in work with no access to a TV.
PJ, Damian and Niamh of 4FM Classic Hits proved themselves to be the best damn Samaritans on the face of the country this morning when they called their boss live on air in order to ask him to let their colleagues off work early to watch Ireland’s opening game at the Euros.
Listen to PJ, Damian and Niamh have an on-air chat with Andy. He’s defiant at first – offering to let the workers leave at five-to-five, but the DJs crank it up again and get him to make an even greater concession.
What a sound move!
