Hard as it might be to believe, this picture was taken a little over 12 hours ago.
Dublin, like everywhere else in the country, is currently feeling the effects of the storms and adverse weather conditions battering Ireland at the moment, conditions that show little sign of letting up for the time being at least.
The day started off quite promisingly in the capital; it was quite calm and the sun had even decided to break out for a while, conditions that were brilliantly captured by the Irish Defence Forces in a picture taken on what was a routine security escort early this morning.

As we well know now, hopes that it might stay that way proved unfounded in a pretty big way and as the post says, what a difference 12 hours can make.
