The winning numbers in Wednesday's draw were 02, 07, 11, 13, 17, 33, with 01 the bonus, and the National Lottery has confirmed the winning retail location will be announced over the coming days, the Irish Mirror reports.

It wasn't the only big win of the night either.

A player in Co Wexford matched five numbers and the bonus to claim €191,677, with that ticket purchased on the day of the draw at XL Gorey on Main Street in Gorey.

The double windfall follows a run of notable wins around the country, including the Obama Plaza Lotto winner earlier this summer.

National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O'Dwyer said the eclipse wasn't the most memorable event of the evening for one household:

Players in Dublin and Wexford are being urged to check their tickets carefully.
