The incident occurred on Wednesday.
A man has been left in a serious condition following a shooting in Lucan.
Gardaí are currently at the scene of the shooting incident that occurred at Griffeen Glen Park, Lucan on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident took place at approximately 1.50pm.
A man in his early 40s was shot a number of times while he was in his car, and he has since been removed to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.
The road is currently closed and the scene is being preserved.
Investigations are ongoing.
