Brawl during rush hour traffic on Dublin’s M50 results in man being hospitalised

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the fight.

A fight broke out on Dublin’s M50 on the evening of Monday 21 May, which resulted in one man being seriously injured.

Two cars pulled up on the M50 northbound between junction 10 (Ballymount) and junction 9 (Redcow) at around 6.20pm.

In the midst of rush hour traffic, a number of men became involved in a brawl, which ended with one of the men being sent to Tallaght hospital, while another man refused any assistance for his injuries at the site of the incident.

Traffic was severely disrupted due to the incident.

It is also reported that while one of the men was hospitalised, it is believed that his injuries were not life-threatening.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone who may have dashcam footage or who may have witnessed the incident to contact Tallaght Garda station on 01 6666000 or any Garda Station.
