Macklemore’s favourite Irish venue is closing its doors this Saturday

Goodbye Pepper

Goodbye Pepper.

Iconic Dublin venue The Twisted Pepper will be twisting its last on Saturday of this week.

The Middle Abbey St. nightclub was known for the eclectic range of events it held throughout the week – frequently hosting reggae and dancehall nights, rap battle events as well as more traditional dance music nights.

Rapper Macklemore went as far as to say that he had “never experienced the level of energy the Irish brought to the show” when he performed in Twisted Pepper.

The official event page for ‘Goodbye Pepper’ (since removed from Facebook) had this to say: “It’s undeniable that it’s been one of the most significant venues for underground music in Dublin since it opened its doors in 2008 and we’re going to give it the send off it deserves at its last ever Thursday night party.”

Details about the final Pepper events will soon be released on Facebook.
