Madonna was rushed to a hospital in New York last weekend.
Madonna has been forced to postpone her ‘Celebration’ world tour after she was found unresponsive on Saturday, June 24th.
The singer was rushed to a hospital in New York with a “severe bacterial infection”.
The ‘Crazy For You’ singer was intubated and admitted to ICU, according to Page Six. Madonna spent several days in intensive care but has since been moved out of the unit.
Her manager Guy Oseary issued a statement after she was admitted to ICU.
“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several-day stay in the ICU.
He continued, “Her health is improving, however, she is still under medical care.”
“A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.
He continued, “We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”
Madonna was due to go on tour to celebrate 40 years in music, but her ‘Celebration’ tour has been postponed until she has fully recovered.
