Three men were arrested as a result of a major weapons seizure in Cork city.
A sawn-off shotgun, a number of slash hooks, knives, other assorted weapons and even golf clubs were seized by Gardaí on Wednesday as part of a major search operation in Cork city. Gardaí seized the weapons while searching a total of 16 properties during operations in the Knocknaheeny area of Cork city as part of ongoing investigations. https://twitter.com/gardainfo/status/905522701934239745

The operation was led by Gardaí from Gurranabraher Garda station and supported by units from across the Southern Region, including the Regional Support Unit and other Specialist Units. Officers from Revenue Customs Service were also involved.
Two caravans and a 4x4 vehicle were also seized, while jewellery and cash were amongst the items of property recovered during the operation.
Three men (one teen and two men in their 40s) were arrested during the operation and are currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 in Togher and Bridewell Garda Stations.
