Very sad news.
A man in his 20s has died in south Armagh after he was struck by a falling tree.
The incident happened at lunchtime on Wednesday at the gates of Slieve Gullion Forest Park just outside the village of Meigh.
It’s believed the man was working on behalf of Northern Ireland Water and his colleague was also injured in the incident.
He becomes the second victim of Storm Ali after a woman in her 50s was killed earlier on Wednesday when her caravan was blown off a cliff in Galway.
The woman is understood to be a tourist who was visiting the area.
Gardaí are investigating the incident.
