Man in his 30s hospitalised after shooting incident in Dublin

A man has been hospitalised following a shooting incident in Dublin on Tuesday (19 April).

The incident occurred at around 11.50pm at a residence in the Pimlico Cottages area of Dublin 8.

A man in his 30s was injured and was taken to St James’s Hospital.

His condition is currently described as stable.

Gardaí say that a vehicle was discovered partially burnt out at Old Church Way in Clondalkin, Dublin 22, at around 12.15am on Wednesday and is being technically examined.

This is as the scene at Pimlico Cottages has been preserved for technical examination as well.

An Incident Room has also been established at Kevin Street Garda Station.

No arrests have been made at this time and Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.

Any road users who were travelling in the Pimlico Cottages/Ardee Street area between 11.30pm and midnight who may have camera footage, including dashcam footage, are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.
