Man arrested in connection with Cork murder

Dublin assault man dies

He’s the fourth person to be arrested in connection with the murder.

An Garda Síochána have confirmed that they have arrested a man in connection with the murder of Mikolaj Wilk, who was killed in Ballincollig, Co. Cork on 10 June last year.

The man, who has not been publicly named, was arrested this morning (10 April). Gardaí have reported that he is in his 30s.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed that the man was arrested in the Cork area and was taken to Togher Garda Station where he is currently detained under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.

Wilk was originally from Poland, but lived in Ireland with his wife and two children.

Three others have already been arrested in connection with the investigation. All three have been released without charge.
